Unwrap Gently
Remove the outer transport wrapping carefully. You may keep the decorative bouquet wrap if you wish, but ensure the stems are exposed and free to absorb water.
2. Trim the Stems
Using clean, sharp scissors or floral shears, cut 1–2 inches (2–3 cm) off the bottom of each stem at a 45-degree angle. This helps flowers absorb water more efficiently.
3. Use a Clean Vase & Fresh Water
Place the flowers in a clean vase filled with fresh, room-temperature water. If provided, dissolve the flower food sachet fully in the water.
4. Remove Leaves Below Waterline
Any leaves that sit below the water should be removed to prevent bacterial growth and keep the water clean.
5. Change Water Regularly
Refresh the water every 1–2 days, clean the vase, and re-trim the stems slightly to maximize vase life.
6. Keep in a Cool Location
Place your bouquet in a cool, shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight, heating vents, air conditioning, or placing near ripening fruit (which emits ethylene gas that can speed up wilting).
7. Remove Wilting Flowers Promptly
To maintain the beauty of your arrangement, remove any wilted blooms or yellowing leaves as needed.
